And then I stopped. The B's were too loud in my head. I realized all I really wanted was to Be Better. At Everything! Not perfect, not awesome, not even great...just better than I was last year.
Sounds daunting but it's not. This year, I going to work at going that extra step in my day to day. On New Year's Day, I opened my linen closet and the wire storage system that hangs over the door slapped open. AGAIN! I had this thing for at least 4 years. Never secured just there annoying me every time I open the door.
Tuesday, I took that first extra step. Secured the storage unit to the door and then organized the closet. It was a little thing. But the thrill of knowing I won't hear that "slap" again is well worth it. And being able to find everything is not a bad thing either.
The ways to Be Better are limitless and with every steps the B's in my head will go eventually be silent. Not because of list of resolutions, just the goal to be better than I was before.
How will you be in the New Year?
