It's the start of the first week of a new year and if you believe the news, the most depressing day of the year. So congratulations you made it through!
As I was thinking about the upcoming year, I kept coming back to a quote from Benjamin Franklin, "A place for everything, everything in it's place" and realized this was my challenge. Things in my world are no longer in their place. So this is my rebuilding year. The year when everything goes back where it belongs:
I'm pretty sure you won't be interested in the educational and even less in the social, so I'll focus on the financial. So let's get started. Have you see this?
This has been floating around Facebook for the last week or so. Each week you save a dollar more than the last and at the end of the year you have $1,378.00!
I'm in with a twist, I going to contribute using money I've saved by being A Frugal Girl.
Here are the ground rules -
- Once deposited, I can't withdraw it (ok that was a given).
- I have to post how I did it (I guess that was a given too). :-)
Week 1 - January 1st, I saved $1.80 at Jewel getting green peppers and onions to go with my black eye peas. I guess that puts me ahead ;-)
